Frequently Asked Question

These are the most common questions I get asked, in a very specific order.

Q: How much do you charge?
A: It’s all going to depend on exactly what the requirements are and more specifically what you want captured.
I have put together lifestyle and wedding packages that would be suitable to a broad spectrum of possibilities.
Shoot me a mail with your function date and I’ll send you the said rates & packages.

Q: Do you do videography?
A: Unfortunately, to focus my attention on the photography, I cannot do both at once myself. However, I do offer the service via a third party. If you are interested, please mention this in your initial email or phone call.

Q: Do you offer albums?
A: Yes. I offer custom-designed coffee-table photo books in a selection of sizes and variations. I do have samples to show clients.

Q: How do I make a booking?
A: Contact me via email with your date and venue. I will respond by email or phone. If possible, I would meet with you so we can establish the details of the day and you can ask me everything you need. Once you’ve decided to have me as your photographer, I will send a booking form for you to fill in and return. After that, you can check “find a photographer” off your to-do list.

Q: How much is the deposit?
A: I charge a non-refundable retainer of R1000.00 to secure a date. The balance being payable a week before the function.

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: Typically 4-10 months in advance as soon as you have a date and venue. I have an “availability calendar” on my site as a guide. You may still contact me to confirm those.

Q: When will I get my photos?
A: Your photos will generally be ready within 2-4 weeks following the function. I go through a careful process of choosing the best images from the day and processing each of them with individual attention.

Q: What do I receive from you or How do I get my photos?
A: You receive on a flash drive, all the post processed photos, in hi resolution, with a slideshow including audio.

Q: Will you be taking the photos?
A: Yes. You are hiring me as the photographer, not another photographer working under my name.

Q: Do you shoot with an assistant?
A: I can make arrangements for a 2nd photographer if necessary. This frees me up to focus on shooting and looking for special moments while ensuring that between the two of us, we don’t miss the important ones. A 2nd shooter offers a different but complementary perspective and allows us to work efficiently throughout the entire day.

Q: Where are you based?
A: I am based in the East Rand, Johannesburg. If you aren’t in this location, please read the next question.

Q: Do you travel?
A: Yes, most certainly. Let me know where you are and we’ll make the arrangements.

Q: Will you post the photographs online?
A: I certainly hope so. I generally will post a few photos on my site and feeds unless explicitly asked not to.
